Kristin K. French is a native of Glen Rock, New Jersey. She graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York and was commissioned into the Regular Army as a Lieutenant in theQuartermaster Corps. She retired from military service as a Brigadier General in November 2015. Her military service includes combat deployments as the Commanding General, Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan, and senior operational logistician in Afghanistan, as well as a squadron commander and the senior logistician in western Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

After her active duty military retirement, Kristin served in several roles in the Federal Government as a Department of Defense Senior Executive, first as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense where she served for 16 continuous months as the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness, second as the Defense Logistics Agency’s Chief of Staff, a $45B combat logistics support agency, and lastly as DLA’s Deputy Director of Logistics Operations (J3). She retired from government service on September 30, 2025. Over the past decade-plus, she supported the Department of Defense and military joint operations around the globe.

 

Kristin currently owns K2F Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm that provides specialized support to organizations in supply chain management and leadership. The company offers expertise designed to enhance logistics operations, sustainment, procurement, and manufacturing processes.

 

Among her many accolades, Kristin was inducted into the US Army Quartermaster Hall of Fame in 2023, and she is a 2024 recipient of the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive, honored for“sustained extraordinary accomplishment”.
