John Jamian

Mr. Jamian is a recognized leader in international transportation, trade development, maritime and healthcare industries. Most recently, Mr. Jamian served in the Bush Administration as the Acting Maritime Administrator and Deputy Administrator for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration. His responsibilities included promoting the environmentally sound integration of marine transportation with other modes of transportation, and with other ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes uses. Mr. Jamian oversaw the daily operations of the Maritime Administration, its 900 employees, and 276 ship assets under MARAD purveyance.He was instrumental in creating the Cabinet Level Committee on Marine Transportation and served as a member of the National Presidential Security Directive (NPSD) in creating our national maritime security initiative.

Commencing in 1991, John was elected to the Michigan legislature, where he served for six years. Mr. Jamian chaired the House Task Force Committee on Port and Maritime Affairs, the House Health Policy Committee and the United States Canada Relations Committee for the Midwest Council of State Governments, focusing on the mutual goals of the two nations who share the world’s largest lake and transportation system.

John also served as the Executive Director of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority. In this position he was instrumental in bringing cruise ships backs to the Great Lakes and secured federal funding to build a brand new port and passenger terminal building on Detroit's waterfront. The port had record growth during his tenure and got involved in several waterfront restoration efforts with the Army Corps of Engineers and the EPA.

Peter McElroy

Mr. McElroy has extensive operations experience holding senior management roles in finance, mergers & acquisitions, market analysis, government affairs, new business development and operations support. Mr. McElroy’s most recent assignment was acting Executive Vice President, Finance for Axiolog International GmbH, a global logistics solution provider based in Zurich, Switzerland. In this capacity, he determined the selection processes and negotiated with targeted investment banks to support the 2nd stage capital infusion process. Mr. McElroy completed all offering material, lead management presentations, due diligence and capital subscription process in coordinated efforts with all involved entities.

During his tenure with the Carlyle Management Group, Peter was responsible for developing multiple departments and supporting the combined activities of Key Plastics, Key Safety Systems and Ewing Management Groups various endeavors. The combined operations of the Key Automotive Group represent a $1.7 billion dollar enterprise with 96 global locations. As VP of M& A, Peter led the acquisition process for the North American operations of Key Plastics. He was responsible for initial evaluation, strategic and financial analysis of potential targets, managing the corporate negotiation process and final due diligence on corporations through purchase agreement submission. Honors include being named as a Top 30 Under 30 in Crain’s Detroit Business publication in 2001.

Charles Yessaian

Mr. Yessaian has extensive experience at both the federal and state levels of government. He presently is the Director of Government Affairs for Jamian McElroy & Hamlin, LLC. Based on his extensive experience on Capitol Hill, he specializes in issues management and government procurement.

Most Recently, Mr. Yessaian served as Legislative Director for Congressman Joseph Schwarz, and in that capacity ran the day to day operations in his Washington, D.C. office and coordinated efforts of the Congressman's three Congressional Committees: Armed Services, Science & Technology, and Agriculture.

Prior to working for Congressman Schwarz, Chuck served in the office of Congressman Frederick Upton as a Legislative Assistant. In that position, he acted as the liaison with the Education & the Workforce Committee and advised the Congressman on issues relating to Education, Labor, Agriculture, Insurance, and Federal Employee Issues.

Mr. Yessaian also served the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure in the U.S. House of Representatives, employed as Legislative Staff Assistant for Oversight and Investigation.

In addition to his experience on Capitol Hill, Mr.Yessaian brings with him enthusiasm and commitment representative of his Armenian and Greek heritage. He is a former Assistant to the Director of Government Affairs of the Armenian National Committee of America.

Chuck also served as Field Coordinator responsible for: Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe, Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale Counties on U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham’s Senate Campaign in 2000.

Mr. Yessaian is a graduate of Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois where he majored in History and was a scholarship baseball player and Division ll academic All-American. Chuck has a Master of Arts in Government degree from Johns Hopkins University.
